A Snake Makes Life Hell (Aislin Wyatt)

Bidding her father goodbye Belle stepped onto the crowded Hogwarts Express train. Shoving kids aside as she walked if they didnt move fast enough. Belle was one of those girls who didn't care who you are she will make you move and get her way. Being a 6th year and a prefect students knew who she was and to stay out of her way. Other than her sister she didn't really get close to anyone and even Luna wasn't in her house.

Coming to the end of the train and the prefect cart a girl stepped out in front of Belle. "Umm hello? Move it." She said with pure attitude.

Aislin had just gotten on the Hogwarts Express, ready to start her next year at Hogwarts. She hadn't expected to be chosen as a Prefect, she was a good student, but she was quiet at times.
She had blue streaks in her long blond hair, she very rarely put her hair up and had chosen the colour to support her house. Aislin was just stepping out of the prefect cart to go do her duties when she found herself standing in front of another prefect.

"Sorry," She apologised to the girl, not bothered at all by her attitude. "Please would go a long way you know." She added in a friendly tone.

Belle looked the girl up and down noting the purple streaks in her hair. Taking her in she caught the gleam of a prefect badge not that that meant Belle would be nice. Just because someone was in the same position of power didn't make them on her level. The train lurched but she held her ground and wasn't moved by it. Belle sneered at the girl. "Please is for nice people." She said before pushing past her and knocking the other girl with her shoulder. Opening the compartment door of the prefects she joined them without giving the girl another look

Aislin rolled her eyes, slowly shaking her head as the other girl pushed past her. She headed down the train to do her duties, wondering why some people were so rude. Aislin assumed by the attitude that the girl was a Slytherin, not many people with an attitude like that were put in the other three houses.
Shrugging her shoulders, Aislin went to sort out a pair of arguing first years.

Belle sat staring out of the window not really talking to anyone outside of her own house. They annoyed her. And if she did say something it was cruel but then again they didn't call her the Princess of the Slytherins for nothing. It was a title she had earned and was proud of. Still she often wondered what it would be like to be nicer. Belle laughed the thought off before letting her mind wander back to the other girl. She could tell she was a Ravenclaw and a 5th year seeing as how she wasn't a prefect last year.

Aislin sighed as she finally headed back towards the Prefect cart. She'd already dealt with a number of first years and was already not looking forward to dealing with them once they actually knew some spells.
She entered the Prefect cart and walked past where the Slytherins were sitting, noticing the girl she'd run into earlier, but didn't pay much attention to her, not in the mood for her attitude. Aislin went and sat with the other Ravenclaw Prefects, glad to be able to sit down.

As the train headed towards Hogwarts Belle stood and stretched. The closer they got meant they would need to be in thier robes soon. Picking up her robes and going to the changing room down the hall she slipped into her green and silver robes. Letting her hair hang naturally around her face it almost made Belle look nice. As a prefect it was her job to tell the other students to change. Making her way up and down the train she barked the oder and made sure it was done. Jut looking at a few she knew they would be Slytherins.

Opening the Prefect compartment again she saw the only seat now open was next to the girl from earlier. With a irritated look she took the seat.

Aislin had already changed into her robes, knowing she'd lose her seat otherwise. She was hoping that at least the Ravenclaw first years wouldn't be any of the kids she'd had to tell off already after seeing how much trouble they were causing without using magic.
Aislin was reading one of her textbooks for the year when someone sat next to her. Assuming it was another Ravenclaw, she didn't look up.

As the girl from earlier read her book Belle was coming up with schemes for the year. Nothing involving the Prefect common room which they would all share. She looked over at the girl who still had her nose barried in a book. 'Typical Ravenclaw' Belle thought but the more she looked at the girl the more she realized she was pretty. One of those girls all the guys fawned over. Belle herself went both ways so it wasn't odd she noticed a pretty girl.

Eventually Aislin realised that it wasn't a Ravenclaw sitting next to her when there wasn't any comment on the book she was reading. Marking her page, she put the book down and looked at the person next to her.
"You again?" She said raising an eyebrow, wondering why the girl had sat next to her.
Looking at her properly for the first time, Aislin realised the girl was actually quite pretty.

"Yes me again. Not that I wanted to sit here." Belle motioned to the taken seats all around the compartment. There were no seats available anywhere else. Looking back to the younger girl she gave her a smug look. "The Slytherin Princess would much rather be somewhere else Ravenclaw." everyone knew her as her title but everyone knew as much as she picked on the other houses Belle's own sister wasn't in Slytherin or her father.

"Well you could always stand if you despise Ravenclaw's so much." Aislin replied, smiling. Aislin very rarely got angry, refusing to be bothered by other's comments. "Princess huh? So where did you get that name from.?" She asked the girl. Aislin was one of the few people who hadn't heard of 'The Slytherin Princess', preferring to mind her own business.

"I could be it's a long ride." Belle said before rolling her eyes. She just wished people would think before they spoke. It was one of her pet peeves seeing as how she thought people should think before forming an opinion. "And I got it from my Slytherin house. Im the top Slytherin girl and do what I want. Not to mention others do what I say." Belle rarely had to explain who she was seeing as how the others in her houses told the 1st years. "But my name is Belle. Princess Belle of the Slytherins. Don't your house have something like that?"

"No, Ravenclaw doesn't have anything like that. We're all pretty much equals, besides the year differences and prefects." Aislin told her. "And I'm Aislin by the way." She added, changing the colour of her streaks to orange and back again, deciding she didn't want the colour.

Belle watched as the colors changed. That simple change let her know Aislin was a metaphoramgus. Imediatley Belle envied her that, she always wished she was. Shaking her head of useless things that would never happen never one to dwell on them. "You Ravenclaws are smart. Sometimes being Princess isn't best." With no explanation she got up and walked out of the compartment. She had timed it perfectly so that the train stopped and she would do her Prefect duties.

Belle loved being the Princess of Slytherin. Most of the time. But sometimes it was more trouble than it was worth. If there were issues within the house it was her job to handle it. Sometimes she just wished she could back out of her crown but she had worked for it. Not to mention younger students looked up to Belle. Thought she wouldn't admit it to anyone else, Belle treasured that. Treasured that she was looked up to for a useless title that would one day belong to one of them. She was determined to make it mean something before she left this year. Before Belle handed over her title to someone she herself would hand pick.

Aislin watched as Belle got up and left, wondering what she meant. Sighing, Aislin got up to do her own prefect duties, making sure all the students had their robes on and making sure they got off the train.
She met up with some of the other Ravenclaw prefects and walked with them as the rest of them talked. Aislin was too busy trying to figure out Belle.

Leading the other students,accept the first years, to the carriages. Her mind wasn't in it and she even ignored her fellow Prefect. Every house had two and she was so out of it that she almost walked into her other prefect. Belle's mind kept going back to Aislin. It wasn't often someone intreged her but Aislin did.

Aislin was so distracted she'd almost left her bag on the train, quickly hurrying back and getting it. She was still thinking about the Princess comment and figured she'd never understand it without knowing Belle better. She caught up with the other Ravenclaw and headed for a carriage.

The ride to the castle was met with silence from Belle. Her mind was full of school things and things she would need to do for the Slytherin house. She was complicated. Belle wouldn't deny that. But if anyone could figure it out they were amazing. Belle didn't like being figured out. She found that her mind kept going back to Aislin even if she didn't know why exactly.

Aislin sighed in relief when her carriage reached the castle, she was hungry and couldn't wait for dinner. She'd slept in this morning, her older brother waking her up to get ready. She'd had to skip breakfast so they could make it to King's Cross in time.
She entered the Great Hall, passing near Belle on her way to the Ravenclaw table. Looking over her shoulder, Aislin glanced over at the dark haired girl before sitting with her friends.

Sitting towards the middle of the table Belle laughed at something another Slytherin had said to her. Glancing up she caught the eye of Aislin before turing and making a comment to someone. She was intruged by the other girl but didn't want it to show.

Aislin found she was interested to learn more about the 'Slytherin Princess', but didn't look over at her again at all during the Sorting and only once during the Feast; which Aislin was too busy filling her empty stomach with.
During the Feast she looked over at Belle when the older Ravenclaw prefect began telling a group of newly sorted first years about the Princess, some of them looking scared. Aisling had raised her eyebrow at the stories, looking over at the girl.

Every feast was the same to Belle. Every beginning one that is. Older students from each house would warn the others about her without ever knowing her. They passed judgement on her based on rumors. Truth was Belle just did what was needed for her House and if someone messed with her. The rumors were always worse than what actually happened. Like during her 5th year some girl tried being high and mighty by getting in Belle's face. So Belle simply hit her in the face and broke her nose. Somehow that turned into Belle making her into a necklace when in truth she was good at hand to hand combat.

Looking up Belle nodded to Aislin when she looked at her before returning to her food and sipping her drink

Just by listening to the stories, Aislin could tell that most of the details weren't true, or were exaggurated and she wondered why the Ravenclaws believed them when they were supposed to be smart and logical.
Aislin smiled when Belle nodded at her, then she went back to her meal as she continued listening to the stories, shaking her head in disbelief at them.

Deciding to have a light dessert before showing the first years to the Slytherin common room. She showed them around before going back to the Prefect Common Room. Going to her room she noticed the Ravenclaw colors around the other bed and knew it belonged to Aislin. It actually didn't bother Belle but there was no need for her to know that
